Weekly Wrap Up
My last post like this was two months ago. Let’s just say that a LOT has happened since then, both good and bad. Starting with the good and probably biggest news – I got to see BTS in concert!!! My mom, my daughter and I drove down from North Carolina to Tampa, Florida at the end of April and it was amazing. Those guys put on an amazing show and it was so wonderful to see them all reunited after their military service. I’ve got a bunch of pics and videos up on my Instagram if you’re interested
That’s really the main excitement. Work has slowed quite a bit, which used to stress me out a lot more before they put me on salary. It’s gonna suck during fundraising season and the holidays, but it sure is great right now!
The other big news, the not so great news, is that one of my cats is having some health problems. She started off seeming to have trouble walking and having pain in her back legs. After a stay at the emergency vet, it was determined that she has feline asthma and spondylosis, which is similar to osteoarthritis in humans. She’s doing better, definitely has good days and bad days, but it’s been really stressful to see her in pain. She’s not that old, only seven years old. She’s always had some odd behaviors, but we always chocked that up to her being a little strange. Looking back, this may have been something that she’s always dealt with, it just wasn’t super painful until it flared up recently. Who knows. I’m second guessing everything at this point, but at least she’s getting the treatment she needs now. Not sure what the long term prognosis of this will be, but we’re following up with her regular vet next week and will know more then.
