Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:

These are books that either have handwriting or fonts that look like handwriting. Here are a few of my favorites.

- All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers
- If I Stay by Gayle Forman
- Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
- Finding Mr. Better-Than-You by Shani Petroff
- Wilder Girls by Rory Powers
- A Danger To Herself and Others by Alyssa B. Sheinmel
- The Bone Charmer by Breeana Shields
- Jane Anonymous by Laurie Faria Stolarz
- How the Light Gets In by Katy Upperman

Have a good week. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2026/06/09/top-ten-tuesday-32-books-with-handwriting-on-the-cover/
Thank you!
You are very welcome.
If I Stay was a good read. Thanks for stopping by earlier.
I think I read that one in one sitting, I was so invested! I need to reread it again at some point.
Great selections, thanks for sharing your #TTT
Thanks!
Great covers. I didn’t notice the writing on Wilder Girls as the image was quite striking!!
Have a great week!
It’s very striking indeed. That’s what first draw me to it.
I can understand that 🤣
I love the font on The Bone Charmer, it’s a fantastic style!
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/book-covers-with-eye-catching-typography/
It’s the first book in a duology and both are similar styles. So pretty!
It’s quite interesting to see how much a font or typography can add to the wow factor of a cover. Nice choices.
Very true.
Truly Devious is a great one!!
I loved that series!
The Thing About Jellyfish looks like the early handwriting of all of the kids I taught to write in cursive!
The main character is in middle school, so it makes sense.
I love how a handwriting font can instantly give a book a completely different vibe, making it feel so personal before you even open the first page. It is cool to see Truly Devious on here because that cover art caught my eye for that exact reason. You have given me a couple of new titles to add to my TBR pile, especially The Thing About Jellyfish. http://www.melodyjacob.com
I absolutely loved Truly Devious. Maureen Johnson is one of my favorite authors, and I thought this was one of her best. I also highly recommend The Thing About Jellyfish. It’s a really good story.
