WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Go!

What are you currently reading?

Currently still reading Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey and chapter-a-long-ing with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. This is because . . .

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas this morning! Huzzah! Which means . . .

What do you think you’ll read next?

I plan on starting Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas either this afternoon or tomorrow (probably tomorrow). I’ll also need to start reading Never-Contented Things by Sarah Porter in the next few weeks, as that is my next NetGalley ARC coming out in March.

What are you reading right now?

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

So many things! Well, not really, but it seems like a lot by my usual standards. In case you missed it, I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling for the month of February. This is part of the #PotterheadReadAlong19 hosted by The Perks of Being Noura. I am also currently reading Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. This is book #3 in the Throne of Glass series and I am really enjoying it so far. Things are getting much more complex, the world building more vast. Love it! Also reading Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey, book #2 in Phedre’s Trilogy. Her writing is so beautiful and poetic, and this book is no exception.

Also, both Phedre’s Trilogy and the Throne of Glass series are on my “Complete the Series” challenge list, so that will be two series towards my goal of three to finish this year! Huzzah!

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished a bunch of books in rapid succession, which I am definitely not used to. I finished Crow Flight by Susan Cunningham, an ARC that I received from NetGalley. You can read my review here. I also rushed through Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling in order to try and finish up in January for #PotterheadReadAlong19 – started the book on the 25th and finished on the 30th! Not too shabby! I also finished Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey, book #1 in Phedre’s Trilogy. I was very glad to finish that one. It took me over a month, but that book also has 900 pages. Her books are LONG! Also finished Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas, book #2 in the Throne of Glass series.

What do you think you’ll read next?

There are only three that I can count on reading next, and that would be the next three books in the three series I am reading: Kushiel’s Avatar by Jacqueline Carey (Phedre’s Trilogy #3), Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass #4), and in March, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling (you know). I also have a few ARCs coming up in March and April, but I’ll talk more about them when the time comes.

That’s it for me! How is your reading going this week?

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

This has actually taken a sudden turn as of yesterday. I found out that I got approved for another NetGalley ARC – Crow Flight by Susan Cunningham. This one is already out, so I wanted to get a review up sooner rather than later (probably next week). I am also starting Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas today, book two in the Throne of Glass series. I’ve also read a lot more of Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey this past week, and I’m about halfway through now.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished Terrestrial Magic by Marina Ermakova, my other ARC. You can read that review here. It was a very enjoyable read. I also, obviously, finished Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. It was also very good and I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series goes.

What do you think you’ll read next?

What I currently have on my plate will take me a while, but I am planning on reading Heir of Fire, the next book in the Throne of Glass series. And Kushiel’s Chosen, the next book after Kushiel’s Dart. If I can get through both of those series, that will cross two unfinished series off of my list for my reading goal! I knew I had to start the Jacqueline Carey books early in the year, since they are pretty long, and I wanted to give myself plenty of time.

How is your reading week shaping up?

What are you currently reading?

I am still reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey. I had to slow down on these due to . . .

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading Terrestrial Magic by Marina Ermakova last night. This was an ARC I got from NetGalley, so I was really excited to finish it. Look out for the review tomorrow!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Still planning on reading Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas and Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey, the second book in both series. I did get approved for another ARC from NetGalley, Never-Contented Things by Sarah Porter, but it isn’t coming out until March, so I probably won’t read that one until closer to that time.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three simple questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

Lots of things, for a change! I was reading City of Blaze by H.O. Charles, but even though I was enjoying it, I was having a hard time sticking with it. Not sure why. So I put that one down for now and instead picked up Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey. This is the first book in the Phedre Trilogy, a re-read for me, but it has been several years. This series is on my list of series to try and finish, but I can’t remember all the details. It’s a pretty big book too, so best that I re-read it before jumping into the next one.

Also, after much prodding by Jess, my friend and former podcast co-host who now has her own blog, I started reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. I have heard about this book from several other people as well and it has always gotten good reviews. I am enjoying it so far, so it is my current ebook of choice.

ALSO, today I just found out that I got approved for an ARC from NetGalley! It’s the first one I’ve had in a long time, so I’m really excited! I am reading and will be reviewing Terrestrial Magic by Marina Ermakova, with is coming out later this month. I believe the release date is January 17th.

Three books at a time – that’s a lot for me!

What did you recently finish?

Not counting City of Blaze, since I didn’t “finish” it, I haven’t finished anything since last WWW. I did start a bunch of stuff, so hopefully that will change.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Current plan is to read Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey, the next book in Phedre’s Trilogy, as well as Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas, the next Throne of Glass book. I have also requested some other books from NetGalley, so as soon as they get approved (fingers crossed), I might have more!

Have a good week everyone!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

Currently reading City of Blaze by H.O. Charles. This is a book I got off of BookBub a while back and I am finally getting around to reading it. It’s pretty good so far, the first book in a seven book series. We’ll see if this gets added to the list of series I want to finish. I’m about halfway through it and still a bit on the fence.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished out 2019 re-reading the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa, ending with the fourth book in the series, The Iron Knight. I had almost forgotten how good those books are. GoodReads says the last time I read them was in 2012! Long past due for a re-read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Depending on how I feel after finishing City of Blaze, I would probably read the second book in that series, Nation of Blaze. If not that, then I think I will read Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. I just bought that one with a holiday gift card to Barnes & Noble. I loved the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series so much, so I have high hopes for this one.

What are you currently reading?

Between some stressful home stuff (teenagers can be a handful at times) and being in another community theatre production (what is sleep, I’ve forgotten), I haven’t been reading all that much, although I did finally meet my GoodReads goal for the year. The only reading I’ve been wanting to do are comfortable re-reads, so I am currently re-reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, the final book in The Hunger Games trilogy. I am also re-reading The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa, the fourth book in The Iron Fey series. It has been a while since I’ve read these and I’ve enjoyed reading them again.

What did you recently finish reading?

Well, to state the obvious, I recently finished The Hunger Games and Catching Fire, both by Suzanne Collins, as well as the other Iron Fey books by Julie Kagawa (The Iron King, The Iron Daughter, and The Iron Queen). Before that, I did a splurge of reading by the Green brothers – a re-read of Paper Towns by John Green and a new read of An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. Both excellent.

What do you think you’ll read next?

There is a sequel series to The Iron Fey series that I have never read, so I might do that. I really enjoy Julie Kagawa’s writing and her imagining of the world of faerie. The first book in that is The Lost Prince. This will depend on whether I can track it down from the library though. With Christmas coming, I don’t have a big book buying budget at the moment.

So that’s my week in books. What are you up to?

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Go!

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Paper Towns by John Green, although I will probably finish it today. I love that book so much and really needed a comfortable re-read after living in zombie land.

Also still reading In the Hand of the Goddess by Tamora Pierce. Haven’t made much progress with that because I was trying to finish up reading some other things. Which leads me to . . .

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading Blackout by Mira Grant, the third book in the Newsflesh trilogy. I’ve read them all before, but they still pack an emotional punch. Really a testament to Grant’s writing, for sure.

Also finished reading An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. That one, I think I will need to re-read it again to pick up all the nuances in it. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book quite like it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m going to read something completely different that what I usually read – The Hanover Square Affair by Ashley Gardner. I don’t read a lot of mysteries and don’t think I’ve ever read any Regency fiction either, but this fit in with one of the tasks for the Seasonal Reading Challenge, so I figured I’d give it a go. I think I got it off BookBub a while back.

Happy reading everyone!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

Currently reading three books. I finally started An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. It’s so good, y’all. I can honestly say that it is different from anything I’ve ever read before. I’m really enjoying it. Also reading Deadline by Mira Grant, book 2 in the Newsflesh series. Also very good, but a re-read for me, so I knew it would be. The third book I am currently reading is In the Hand of the Goddess by Tamora Pierce, book 2 in the Song of the Lioness series. I had read this series before, but only the first two books. It’s been a while, so a re-read was necessary. Once I start book 3, I’ll be in all new territory.

What did you recently finish reading?

Well, of course I just finished Feed by Mira Grant, as part of my Newsflesh re-read for October (gotta have spooky zombies for Halloween!). I also finished Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir by Jenny Lawson. It was really good, but I still think I liked Furiously Happy even more. You honestly can’t go wrong with either one though. Both are good.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Definitely Blackout by Mira Grant and The Woman Who Rides Like a Man by Tamora Pierce, the next books in both of the series I’m working on. Other than that, I’m not sure. You know what? I might go through some of my TBR and put up a poll. Let the Interwebs decide my next read! What could go wrong!

Happy reading everybody!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What are you currently reading?

Still reading Let’s Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir by Jenny Lawson, although I should finish it today. This is her first book, although I actually think I liked Furiously Happy a bit better? I’ve enjoyed both of them though. She is a really interesting and odd person, in the best way.

Also started a re-read of Feed by Mira Grant, partly because it’s been a few years since I’ve read this series, and partly because it’s October, and what better time of year to read about your favorite zombies!

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished the three books in the Splintered series by A.G. Howard. I love these books so much, and hadn’t read them in a while. They may have even inspired me a bit, but more on that later.

I also finished Anger is a Gift by Mark Oshiro, who you all know I adore, and oh boyo! This book was wonderful and terrible and made me feel all the emotions. I am hoping to be able to form a coherent review at some point, because I have so much to say. And yes, this is a recommendation. This is a book everyone should read. Like, now.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Definitely Deadline by Mira Grant, to continue in that series. I do plan on reading the entire thing, because you can’t just stop at the end of Feed. It’s impossible. Can’t be done.

Also, and I’m very excited about this, I will start reading An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. You know I’m a big fan of John Green’s books, and I’ve loved the Vlogbrothers since day one, so I am really looking forward to reading Hank’s first published novel.

That’s what I’m reading this week! How about you?
