What did you recently finish reading?

Since last week, I’ve actually finished two books! Progress! I finished reading The Unmagical Life of Briar Jones by Lex Croucher and enjoyed it very much. I also started and finished The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. It was also very good. I’m trying to catch up on reviews as much as I can with the limited time I have, so hopefully I can share reviews for these soon.

What are you currently reading?

Today I am starting The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther. This is the last book I need for the GoodReads Summer Challenge and I need to finish it by the 14th. Shouldn’t be a problem, since it’s not super long. It seems cute and lighthearted, which will be nice since I’ve read some heavy stuff lately.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I need to get back to working on my GoodReads Awards challenge, so I think next I will read Alchemised by SenLinYu. It won the award last year for Best Debut and honestly, I’ve heard mixed reactions about it. I’m interested to see what all the buzz is about.
