WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
This past week, I finished Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. I had heard so much about this book and was really looking forward to it, but wasn’t expecting it to completely blow me away. Absolutely loved it.
What are you currently reading?
I’m working through the GoodReads Fall Challenge prompts, which led me to start The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. I’m only a few chapters in, but really liking it so far.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Up next will be something completely different and completely new. While going through the Fall Challenge prompts, I had one that I didn’t currently own anything that worked, so I picked something available on Kindle Unlimited – When the Tide Held the Moon by Venessa Vida Kelley. I have never read anything by this author and all I know about the book is that it takes place in turn of the century New York City on Coney Island . . . and there are gay mermaids. Gay mermaids! I’m in.
That’s my reading for the week!

What would you say the horror level is in Witchcraft for Wayward Girls? I keep wanting to pick it up but I’m just not sure if I’ll end up DNF-ing after a few pages because I’m squeamish
It’s not too bad. There are a few bodily horror moments, some dealing with the birthing process and some more supernatural. I can give you more specifics if you want, just let me know how you feel about spoilers.
