What did you recently finish reading?

This past week, I finished The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther. This was a really cute rom-com, but also dealt with more serious issues, like dealing with grief. I really enjoyed it, plus it finished the last prompt in the GoodReads Summer Challenge, so yay!

What are you currently reading?

I’m getting back into reading the GoodReads Award winners from last year, so I started reading Alchemised by SenLinYu, which won the award for Best Debut. This book will take me a while – it’s over 1000 pages long! Pretty gutsy to roll out something this big as your debut novel! I’m only 100 pages in, but I’m liking it so far.

What do you think you’ll read next?

My next read will be Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. I’ve heard a lot about this one, and happened to find it at my library when I picked up Alchemised. This won the GoodReads Award last year for Best Horror. The Fall Reading Challenge has also dropped, and it fits a few prompts over there as well. Two birds, one stone!
