Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Ten (or Eight) Books That Conjure Happy Memories
Weirdly enough, I don’t read a lot of happy books. Most of my books can be pretty dark. In fact, putting together this list really proves that I need to lighten up!
- The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna – Found family and cozy, witchy vibes
- The Wedding People by Alison Espach – Yes, the main character spends a lot of the book suicidal, but ultimately she finds hope and love again.
- The House on the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune – Another magical found family, this time with a sweet love story.
- Funny Story by Emily Henry – Two heartbroken people rely on each other and pick up the pieces and find love again in the cutest ways.
- The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst – One of the cutest, coziest books I’ve ever read, plus there are flying cats.
- Starter Villain by John Scalzi – Haven’t you always wanted to inherit your uncle’s supervillain empire?
- Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune by Roselle Lim – A young entrepreneur moves back to the old neighborhood, opening up a small restaurant and winning everyone’s hearts.
- Becoming by Michelle Obama – I love her and this book was so beautiful and inspiring.
