Weekly Wrap Up
Hey, it’s only been two weeks since my last Sunday Post! Not three months! Honestly, if you’ve been hanging out around my blog, you’ll notice that I’ve been posting a lot more lately. My life has been a little hectic, and for some reason, writing out a blog post in the mornings has been a nice little relaxing moment of my day. Almost meditative in a way.
The main news around here has been about Ragtime. If you read my last Sunday Post, I had gone to an audition at one of my local community theaters and got into two shows, the first being Ragtime. We opened last weekend and it has been absolutely magical. This is the first show I’ve been able to do in six years and, while I can definitely feel the differences in how my body is handling it, I have also learned a lot about how to deal with certain things as the show goes on. It’s been wonderful. I’ve gotten to reconnect with a bunch of people I hadn’t seen in a while, plus meet a bunch of new people who are absolutely lovely. We run for three weekends, so after today’s show, we have three performances left for next weekend.
Today will be fun because a bunch of people from work will be there. They were so excited for me and wanted to be supportive, even though none of them are theater people. I may be slightly more nervous with them there, but I’m also very appreciative of their support. I’ve been a bit of a zombie through the last few weeks of rehearsals, which I know they’ve all noticed.
Last but not least, I will be reviving my Etsy store, Tabby Cat Textiles! Okay, reviving may not be the right word, since I never closed it and there’s still stuff available, but I have a bunch of new items that I will be rolling out towards the end of this month. I will definitely keep everyone here at the blog updated with what’s happening over there.
