Ten (or Eight) Authors I’ve Met

This is really fun! I haven’t met many of them, but I’ve met a few and it was always exciting. I was really nervous each time, but they are so nice. Most of these I met at YallFest, which I haven’t been able to go to in years, but hope to again one day. Here they are:

Orson Scott Card – met him at Bookmarks Festival and went to a writing workshop he held at Southern Virginia College
Maureen Johnson – met her at an event held at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh
Stephanie Perkins – met her at the same event as Maureen Johnson
Libba Bray – got my book signed at YallFest
Cassandra Clare – got my book signed at YallFest
Mark Oshiro – got my book signed at YallFest
Laini Taylor – got my book signed at YallFest
Adam Gidwitz – my daughter got her book signed at YallFest

As a bonus, here is a slightly blurry picture of me with Maureen Johnson and Stephanie Perkins at Quail Ridge (they were so sweet and so funny – love these ladies!) and me with Mark Oshiro at YallFest (this was the first one they held after Covid, hence the mask).
