WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
Since my last WWW post was almost a month ago (wow, that was bad), I’ve actually finished reading quite a few things. In fact, I finished all of the current reads on my last post: Bloodline by Claudia Gray, War Girls by Tochi Onyebuchi, and Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. Unfortunately, I haven’t finished anything else due to being stressed and trying (and failing) to not fall into a reading slump again, but hey – at least I finished these!
What are you currently reading?
Currently, since I just finished Unearthly and War Girls in the past few days, I’m only currently reading two books. I’m still slowly reading through The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. I am also still reading Legend by Marie Lu, despite giving up the “Chapter-A-Long” project.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have a few on my radar that I will be reading as soon as I can get copies. First off is the one I already have a copy of: Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff. This book has been getting a lot of buzz right now, and it’s also the next book for the Nerdist Book Club. I also plan on reading Scarlett Fever by Maureen Johnson, which is the sequel to Suite Scarlett, which I read last month. I actually mostly have sequels or next books in series for the foreseeable future, such as The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter (book #2 in the Burning series) and Hallowed by Cynthia Hand (book #2 in the Unearthly series). Book #2 of the War Girls series, Rebel Sisters by Tochi Onyebuchi, comes out in October, so that will be on my TBR as well.

I am curious about Legend. Enjoy your books and your week, and here’s MY WWW POST
I was enjoying it for the Chapter-A-Long project, so I’m looking forward to reading it more at my own pace.
I loved the Amber Spyglass; It was my favorite in the original trilogy. How did you like the Golden Compass? If you liked it, I’d definitely recommend checking out the HBO show. It was pretty good! Happy reading 🙂
I love the whole trilogy – this is a re-read for me. I’ve seen clips from the HBO show and it looked really well done. I don’t have access to HBO at the moment, but I definitely want to try and check it out at some point.
Enjoy your reading!
I’m about to start A Song of Wraiths and Ruin!
