WWW Wednesday (on a Thursday) – 11/7/19

WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. I didn’t have a chance to post this yesterday because yesterday was CRAY, so it’s happening today!

What did you recently finish reading?

My last WWW was a while ago, so I’ve finished a few things since then, mostly for blog tours. Since I had to take some time off for family stuff, I really had to focus on those so I could post in time. I finished Siren Song by Alex Hayes (see post here), Angel Mage by Garth Nix (see post here), and The How & the Why by Cynthia Hand (see post here). All three books were excellent and I highly recommend all three.

What are you currently reading?

Because my reading schedule (and my brain) got so messed up, I had to go back and start over on two books I was reading because I could not remember what was going on in them. I hate when I do that! Still, I know that I will enjoy the book better if I do it, so there’s that. I started over A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir. I hate that it’s taking me so long to read this book because it’s so good! I’ve actually made pretty good progress on it, so that makes me feel better. I also started over on The Spectral City by Leanna Renee Hieber. This one is also very good. I really like Hieber’s writing style. Finally, I started another book for a blog tour coming up, Awakening by Carissa Andrews. It’s been pretty good so far, but I need to hurry up on this one since the blog tour starts very soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have a few coming up on my radar soon. One is the sequel to The Spectral City, called A Sanctuary of Spirits by Leanna Renee HieberThis is actually a NetGalley review copy I got and is why I started The Spectral City in the first place – I didn’t realize that I had requested a book #2. Oh well. More to read! I also have two books that I will be starting toward the middle of the month for reviews: The Weight of a Soul by Elizabeth Tammi (for NetGalley) and The Piper’s Pursuit by Melanie Dickerson (for FFBC). Other than that, I’m not sure what else I’ll get up to.

That’s it for my current reads! What are all of you reading?
