What did you recently finish reading?

My last WWW post was two weeks ago and since then, I’ve finished two books. The first was When the Moon Hits Your Eye by John Scalzi. I really enjoy Scalzi’s work. He’s a very funny writer and his books are always entertaining. This book was no exception. I also finished How to Be Okay When Nothing is Okay by Jenny Lawson. I absolutely love the Bloggess and her books are always funny, heartwarming, and make you think a little. So good.

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading The Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. This has been on my TBR shelf for I don’t know how long and I’m so glad to finally be reading it. I’m close to halfway through it and it’s so good! How did it take me this long to read this!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Right now, my main focus is trying to finish up the GoodReads Summer Challenge, which means I need to finish four more specific books by September 14th. I say specific because I’ve already picked out what I’m reading for the prompts and acquired copies, either from my own shelf or from Kindle Unlimited. This does include Parable of the Sower, so I’m well on my way to finishing the whole challenge. My next read will be The Unmagical Life of Briar Jones by Lex Croucher. I know nothing about this book or this author, but that’s what I really like about these challenges – it helps me find all kinds of new things I would never find before.
