Sunday Post – June 28, 2026

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap what’s happened at the blog, and talk about things coming up. Let’s go!

Weekly Wrap Up

This week has been fairly unremarkable. This is good in a way – there have been too many difficult weeks over the past couple of months. It was nice to have a week that was mostly calm.

I am also in complete denial that next week is the end of June. The year can’t be half over yet! That’s crazy!

The most eventful thing this week was that I went to the doctor on Wednesday. At the risk of TMI, I will just say that I am now on a new birth control that also includes hormone therapy since I am in perimenopause. I am hoping that maybe this will help with some other health issues that I’ve been having. When your hormones are out of whack, it can throw off a whole bunch of other things, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I was also luck on Friday and Saturday to get some store hours at work. I also had a bit of a heart to heart with the store manager, who is a good friend, and let her know that I was ready and willing to take on a few days here and there, instead of just covering every other Saturday. It will really help my paycheck! Plus, she’s had some issues with people requesting too much time off, or all requesting time off at the same time, or always wanting to leave early. Hey, if they don’t want the hours, I’ll definitely take them!

But other than that, it’s been a pretty quiet week, thank goodness. Knocking on wood that it stays that way for a bit.

Last Week On the Blog

  • Pride Flag Book Tag, where I was tagged in a colorful Pride Month meme by Alex at MyBookWorld42
  • Top Ten Tuesday, where I shared my Summer TBR (spoiler alert, I’ve already gone rogue)
  • WWW Wednesday, where I shared the books that finished up my GoodReads Spring Challenge for 2026
  • Book Blogger Hop, where we discussed our favorite types of reviews to write

Sadly, no reviews this week. Hope to get back on those next week.
