www-wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Of the books I was reading last week, I finished two of them. I was very happy to finish Heart of the Sun Warrior by Sue Lynn Tan. I love Tan’s writing so much and this book was a beautiful follow up to Daughter of the Moon Goddess. I also finished The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau, the first in the Books of Ember series. I had read this one before but it’s been a while and, since I want to finish this series for my challenge, I wanted to re-read this one. It’s really good – I had forgotten how fun it is. So good, in fact, that I immediately jumped into book #2, The People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau and just finished it yesterday!

What are you currently reading?

I am still reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. I had started out reading it with a book club but my activity has gone down a bit as of late. Might jump back in later, but for right now, I am just enjoying this book. Like, a lot. I also just started The Prophet of Yonwood by Jeanne DuPrau, book #3 in the Book of Ember series. It’s actually a prequel, which I’m really looking forward to.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Definitely will just jumping into the fourth and final Ember book, The Diamond of Darkhold by Jeanne DuPrau. This one picks back up where The People of Sparks left off from the looks of it. I will also be reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I’ve had a copy of it for ages and it sounds like a fascinating concept.

  4. I really need to start Heart of the Sun Warrior after reading and loving the first. I’m always worried the next will be a let down but from what you’ve said it seems like it will be just as good.
