WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished both of my reads at the end of December, which is good because I wanted to start fresh in January. I finished Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan, which I read with Ezeecat’s book club over at Fable. That book was lovely and I really enjoyed reading it with a group. I also finished A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor by Hank Green. It was a very good book, but very strange. Reviews to come.
What are you currently reading?
I have started January with a bang, diving into not one, not two, but three books. I have some fairly aggressive goals for 2023 (more on that later) and wanted to be prepared. I am reading Heart of the Sun Warrior by Sue Lynn Tan (which is the sequel to Daughter of the Moon Goddess, in case it wasn’t obvious). Absolutely loving it so far – her writing style is so beautiful. I am also reading another book with the Fable book club. They are reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. I knew nothing about this one except for the fact that it won the GoodReads Choice Award for fiction last year, and so far, it is not disappointing. So good. I am also jumping into another series off my “Complete the Series” list (yes, it’s back this year) and reading The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. This is more of a middle grade/children’s series, but I really loved the first book when I read it back in 2014. Now I just need to read the other three books!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I know that I will be reading The People of Sparks by Jeanne DuPrau, book #2 in the Books of Ember series. I think that I am also going to start reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I’ve had that book on my shelf for ages and haven’t read it yet. It’s time!
That’s my reading for the week! Please leave your WWW in comments!
