This week’s teaser is from Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, book #2 in the Dark Artifices trilogy.

Kit had only recently found out what a flail was, and now there was a rack of them hanging over his head, shiny and sharp and deadly.

Don’t worry. Kit is there to learn how to fight, not to be tortured (although he might think they are one and the same – Kit is going through a rough time).

Ten Books On My Fall 2022 To-Read List

I’ve recently started getting a bit more organized with my TBR, so let’s see what this Fall has in store, shall we?

1). Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

This is the last book in the Dark Artifices trilogy, but even more important, it will cross off yet another series on my “Complete the Series” challenge.

2). Autumn Whispers by Yasmine Galenorn

3). Crimson Veil by Yasmine Galenorn

4). Priestess Dreaming by Yasmine Galenorn

5). Panther Prowling by Yasmine Galenorn

I plan on making some good progress with the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series. These are books #14-17 in the series, so I might make it to the end yet!

6). Pachinko by Lee Min-Jin

7). Becoming by Michelle Obama

8). The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton

These are the other three group read alongs for the Seasonal Reading Challenge on GoodReads.

9). Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

This is another re-read that I am starting soon to fill in a task on the Seasonal Reading Challenge.

10). The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

This will be the next series that I start working on my “Complete the Series” challenge. It’s aimed at younger readers, listed as Middle Grade, but the first book was adorable. I want to see more.
