WWW Wednesday – 8/19/20

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Since my last WWW post back on 8/5, I’ve only finished one book – The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman. Y’all, I’m really concerned that I’m sliding back into another reading slump and I do not like it! And with the current stress I’m under, I don’t know if that’s going to change any time soon. 😦

What are you currently reading?

I am still technically reading War Girls by Tochi Onyebuchi and Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, although it’s been a while since I actually picked those up. I think I’ve mentioned in a Wrap-Up that I picked up Bloodline by Claudia Gray to read along with the Nerdist Book Club.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Just like last time, my future plans really haven’t changed much either. That means that my next reads will be The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman (the third book in His Dark Materials trilogy), Scarlett Fever by Maureen Johnson (the second Scarlett book), Hallowed by Cynthia Hand (the second book in the Unearthly trilogy), and The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter (the second book in the Burning series). I do have another book to add to my TBR – Axiom’s End by Lindsay Ellis. I’m a big fan of Lindsay’s YouTube channel and this is her first novel, so I’m excited to read it. Eventually. Gotta get through some other stuff first.

Please leave your WWW in comments!

  1. I also find it harder to read these days, and when I do pick up a book, it has to grip me…or I slide into a snooze state.

I hope you find something that grabs you. Here’s MY WWW POST
