WWW Wednesday – 6/17/20

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Since last WWW, I finished reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. This is the much anticipated prequel to The Hunger Games trilogy and I really enjoyed it. You can check out my review here.

What are you currently reading?

I am still working on Enter the Night by Norah Wilson and Heather Doherty, as well as A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir. I am slipping dangerously close to another reading slump, so I made a schedule to try and finish both of these books by Sunday. I also started reading The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. I am making another slight reading project out of going back and re-reading all of the books I read with Mark Reads. I’m hoping that this will help boost me out of the slump because reading along with Mark is super fun. Also, in case you missed it, I started reading Legend by Marie Lu for my Chapter-A-Long project, which started last Monday. You can check out my first post here.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I definitely plan on reading the next two books in the Casters series, which are Embrace the Night and Forever the Night by Norah Wilson and Heather Doherty. Of the two, I never read the last one, which is why I went back to re-read the first three. I don’t think the last book was out when I read these the first time and then I never went back to read it. I also definitely plan to read The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman after I finish The Golden Compass, which should hopefully also be on Sunday. I’ve also decided to start reading The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas with the Immortal Bibliophiles book club. This will be my first read along with them so I’m super excited. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now.
