WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What are you currently reading?
Still reading a lot of things, because I can’t help myself. I am still reading Winning Westeros: How Game of Thrones Explains Modern Military Conflict. This is a NetGalley review and so far it’s a little dry, but fascinating at the same time. I’m also still reading ISAN by Mary Ting for an upcoming blog tour. Also still reading Captive by Aimee Carter and it just got really intense! I just started reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley which is the next book for the Disney-A-Thon. I also started re-reading Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins just because I felt like I wasn’t quite reading enough. Finally, I am still reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling for my Chapter-A-Long project, although I am getting pretty close to finishing it.
That’s six books. Oh jeez.
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished reading The Art of Taxidermy by Sharon Kernot, which was wonderful. That review will be up tomorrow. I also finished Altered by Vicki Stiefel for a blog tour. My tour stop is on Friday, so be sure to check that out. Finally, yesterday I finished Stain by A.G. Howard which was my third book finished for the Disney-A-Thon – yay! I am still on target to at least finish all of the Team Tangled prompts and maybe one or two others from another team, although I’m not really pushing for that. I have enough other stuff going on!
What do you think you’ll read next?
According to my schedule (yes, I have a reading schedule – yes, I need help), I will be starting Eve 2.0 by Winter Lawrence in the next few weeks. It’s my next blog tour that I’m preparing for. My next book for the Disney-A-Thon is A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer which I have been really looking forward to reading. Other than that, I plan on reading Queen by Aimee Carter, which is the last book in the Blackcoat Rebellion series and will be my third series off my “Complete the Series” challenge for this year. I also want to read Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins (the next book in the Hex Hall series) and A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir (the next book in the Ember in the Ashes series). I’m still trying to keep up with all my ARC/blog tour obligations and adding the Disney-A-Thon has cut into my more casual reading pursuits. It’s still been fun though.
Reading anything good? Be sure to leave your WWW in comments!

I hope you enjoy Brave New World! It was a little weird at times, but I really enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy A Curse So Dark and Lonely. It’s still on my TBR, but I’ve heard great things about it, and I’m looking forward to hopefully reading it before the sequel comes out. :3 Happy reading!
Here’s my WWW post.
I’ve heard good things about both of those, although more mixed ones on Brave New World. I’m only two chapters in, and it’s a bit weird, but I think I like it? We’re growing humans in a factory? Um, okay?
Brave New World is one of those books that you’ll either love or hate, basically. It really goes for shock value, and I think it hits the nail on the head there. Parts of it are just so outrageous that you’re like … of course this could never happen. But then it’ll strike a chord in a certain way and you’re like … oh. xD The beginning really just throws you in, sink or swim, and it took me a while to really get what was going on.
Yeah, there was nothing to really settle you into the story – you’re just in this weird place with not a lot of explanation. Like I said, I’m only two chapters in, so I’m sure this will all make sense eventually.
I think Brave New World was one of my favorite classics I had to read during high school… I hope you will enjoy it. Have a wonderful week and happy reading! Here’s my WWW.
It’s really weird, but I think I like it so far
Good to hear! 🙂
