WWW Wednesday for May 15th

www_wednesdays4Time for another WWW Wednesday post, hosted by MizB at “Should Be Reading.” Three questions. Three answers. Go!

What are you currently reading?

Currently, I am still reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I should finish that one in the next few days. I also started The Phantom of Manhattan by Frederick Forsyth. It’s . . . not what I expected. I can’t say whether it’s good or bad at this point. I need to see where he’s going with this.

What did you recently finish reading?

Just finished reading Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. It was really cute. Not sure if I liked it better than Anna and the French Kiss, but it was definitely a good read. There will be a more detailed review later, but I would recommend it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I think I’m going to finally read The Night Circus by Erin Morganstern. I’ve had it since Christmas and haven’t read it yet, despite practically everyone I know reading it and loving it.

Those are my answers. What are yours?

  1. I hope you enjoy The Night Circus. I think it’s a book you either love or hate. I wasn’t keen, but I know a lot of people really loved it! My WWW Wednesday post can be found here: http://chrissireads.wordpress.com/2013/05/15/www-wednesday-16/

  2. I really liked A Discovery of Witches but somehow have never read the sequel. I liked The Night Circus a lot. Anna and the French Kiss looked cute, but I haven’t read it.

    • I don’t know yet if I will read the sequel or not. If I do, it won’t be for a while, since I have so many other things on my plate. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  3. I’ve been sitting on The Night Circus since Christmas too. Really bad. Other books arrive and just keep pushing it away. Soon! I promise.

    • I know what you mean. My stack of books to read is reaching upsetting proportions. I did start The Night Circus this past weekend, and so far it’s really good!

  4. Hiya, good list! I’ve been meaning to read A Discovery of Witches for a while now. I hope you enjoy The Night Circus, I loved it, looking forward to seeing your review. Here’s my WWW http://wp.me/p32hC2-9E

    • A Discovery of Witches was pretty good, although there were a few things that really annoyed me. And I started The Night Circus this weekend – so far I really like it. I want to visit the circus now!

  5. Ah I really liked Lola and the Boy Next Door – even more than I enjoyed Anna and the French Kiss! Even if you didn’t like it more than Anna I’m glad you found it worth reading. I hope The Phantom of Manhattan gets better and that you like the Night Circus when you read it!

    • The more I’m thinking about it, Anna and Lola were pretty equal. They were both just so much fun! I don’t always read books that are just lighthearted and fun. I probably ought to. And The Phantom of Manhattan was okay . . . one of those books that I’m glad I read, that wasn’t a bad book, but I probably won’t read it again. I’ll review it here at some point. 🙂

  6. I thought Discovery of Witches was only so-so but really liked The Night Circus. Happy reading! My list is at http://katybrandes.wordpress.com/2013/05/15/www-wednesdays-may-15/.

    • I liked Discovery of Witches, but I wasn’t head over heels in love with it. I am loving The Night Circus so far. I can’t wait to see where they go with that story.
