WWW Wednesday – 12/4/19

WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Since my last WWW Wednesday, which was a couple of weeks ago because I missed one, I have finished two books. One was The Piper’s Pursuit by Melanie Dickerson. You can see my review for the blog tour here. I’m especially excited this week because I finally finished A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir! And it was so good! Review to come soon.

What are you currently reading?

A lot of things, that’s what! I am still reading The Weight of a Soul by Elizabeth Tammi. I think it’s getting ready to go on blog tour, although my copy was through NetGalley. Either way, it’s really good so far and I can’t wait to see where it goes. I’m also reading A Sanctuary of Spirits by Leanna Renee Hieber. This is another NetGalley ARC as well as the sequel to The Spectral City, which finished a while back, but haven’t reviewed yet. It’s also coming soon. In addition to those, I also started another book for a blog tour, Feather by Olivia Wildenstein. It’s another book about angels – I’ve been reading a lot of those lately! It’s also really cute. On top of all THAT, I decided to pick up The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, just for fun. I’m going back and reading the posts over on Mark Reads that go along with it too, which is just a blast. I love Mark’s writing and his reviews are what inspired me to start my Chapter-A-Long posts. I’m nowhere near as good and as funny as he is, but I’m enjoying it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

So, I will be starting A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir either this afternoon or tomorrow. That is the current last book in the Ember in the Ashes series – there’s a book four listed on GoodReads, but it doesn’t even have a title yet. Supposed to come out in 2021. I will also probably finish The Hunger Games soon, so I will most likely move on to Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, because why not? I’ll also be starting a new book probably in the couple weeks that I recently got for a blog tour – Jane Anonymous by Laurie Faria Stolarz. This is a new author and book to me and I always love finding something new and exciting.

That’s it for me this week! I am trying my best to pick myself up from the reading and blogging slump I was starting to slip into. I’ve been through kind of a tough month and the holidays are not always a great time for me even in the best of times. I may dive deeper into that this Friday on the Wrap-Up, but until then, please leave your WWW in comments and let me know what you’re reading. Love you all!

  1. I hope the reading/blogging slump goes away and you have more of a relaxed time. The holidays aren’t always all fun.

I’m so glad you liked A Torch Against the Night! I loved the first book but was kind of disappointed by the second, never got around to the third. Now that we’re talking about that I never ended up finishing the third book in the Hunger Games trilogy. Can you believe that? 😂 It’s one of my goals of December to finally get around to it.

Hope you enjoy all of your December reads and that whatever is going on becomes less tough on you 🙂
