Weekly Wrap Up

This week has been a bit difficult for a few reasons. I’ve had a headache for a good part of it, mostly due to the weather. I am glad that the season is finally changing and we’re getting cooler weather coming through, but I wish it didn’t affect my head so much. Still, we keep pushing through. Work is ramping up as we go into peak fundraiser season, which I definitely enjoy despite the longer hours. It’s so rewarding knowing that I work for a company that helps do so much good in our community. Gives me the warm fuzzies.

I also started rehearsals for my next show this week. It’s called Baker Street and is a Sherlock Holmes musical. If I’m being honest, so far I’m a bit underwhelmed, but I think trying to compare anything to my experience in Ragtime is a bit unfair. There isn’t a ton of singing for the ensemble, but I did find out that I get a small solo song. So that’s nice! It’s a fun group too, with a bunch of people I hadn’t had a chance to work with yet.

Lastly, and possibly the most important update: Tabby Cat Textiles has a big announcement! We are officially hosting our Grand Re-Opening on November 1st! I will be posting on our socials (just Facebook and Instagram for now) leading up to the big day and there will be other fun stuff as well. Still working out all the details, but I know there will be a giveaway and a special discount for the first two weeks (maybe longer? depends on how it goes). I’m really excited about this and have a bunch of new items to share that will go live on November 1st.
