Over the past few years, I’ve really been focusing on finding new books, new genres, and yes, new authors. It’s been really fun finding discovering new gems to obsess over. A lot of that has been thanks to my GoodReads Awards challenge, so some of these are coming over from that, but there are a few others that were found randomly, either from recommendations or other lists. Here we go!

Simone St. James is an author I keep meaning to read. I need to do it.
I got this book at a swap with the book club I was going to a few years ago. It definitely looks interesting.

I haven’t read The Water Dancer but I have read Ta-Nehisi Coates. These other authors are all new to me as well. I hope you enjoy them!
I’ve heard of Coates but never read any of his work. I found this book at my local used bookstore for $3! Couldn’t pass that up!
