The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap what’s happened at the blog, and talk about things coming up. Let’s go!
Weekly Wrap Up
This has been a weird week, work-wise, full of ups and downs. Started off a bit sad, as our company was mostly shut down for a funeral for someone who used to work there. Long since retired, he was in his 90s and had been good friends with the previous owners and still popped in from time to time to say hello. Everyone knew him. He was always happy, greeting you with a smile and joking around. He had been in poor health for a while, so this wasn’t completely unexpected. Still, it’s always sad to say goodbye.
Tuesday through Thursday were pretty normal, and then our company was completely shut down on Friday for our employee appreciation picnic. They rented out a pavilion at the local park and provided lots of food. We also got passes to the pool there, although I didn’t take advantage of that part. It was so much fun seeing everyone’s kids running around and having fun.
In other news, my daughter finally found a new job! She starts in a couple of weeks and she is so relieved to finally have money coming back in. She still lives at home and is (technically) still in college, but she’s been out of work for a while and having a really difficult time finding something – or even getting responses to her applications. Definitely a weight off all of our shoulders!
