Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is:
Ten Books About/Set In Places on My Bucket List
This one is a little tricky for me, as I don’t usually select books based on where they’re located. I also read a lot of fantasy, so a lot of my places that I read about aren’t actually real. So some of these I’ve read, but most of them I haven’t. Here’s a few places I want to go and some books associated with them:
- Paris
- 1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
- 2. The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston LeRoux
- New Zealand
- 3. The Bone People by Keri Hume
- 4. The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton
- Korea
- 5. Pachinko by Min Jin Lee
- 6. The Calligrapher’s Daughter by Eugenia Kim
- Alaska
- 7. The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivy
- 8. The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
- Mexico
- 9. The Vicious Circle by Katherine St. John
- 10. Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Please leave your top tens in comments!

The Snow Child!!!! Oh I loved that book. Great choices here! I also liked Phantom of the Opera and Pachinko
It’s been a while since I’ve read Phantom. Must plan on a reread soon.
Mexico is a beautiful country. I hope you get to see it someday.
It looks really diverse and interesting. I would love to visit someday!
