Ten (or Eight) Book Titles Featuring Ordinal Numbers
This one is interesting. As mentioned in Jana’s post, ordinal numbers aren’t just numbers – it’s specifically “first,” “second,” “tenth,” etc. That makes it a bit more challenging, and on my first pass through my GoodReads list of books I’ve read, I only had a few. Expanding that to my TBR helped a bit, but I still only had eight within my shelves. Here’s what I have:
- Firstborn by Ryan Attard
- The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop
- The First Binding by R.R. Virdi
- The Second Sign by Elizabeth Arroyo
- Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros (this is on everyone’s list today, I’m sure)
- The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
- The 53rd Parallel by Carl Nordgren
- Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce

I loved The Third Gilmore Girl so much. Haven’t read The Fifth Season yet, but I really want to.
It’s good too, but it’s pretty intense!
Fourth Wing did not make it on my list because I misread the prompt. 😁🙄

I definitely seems that way. It didn’t register as much in my mind since I haven’t read The Fifth Season yet, but I know it’s very popular and I’ve heard really good things.
This prompt seems really tough! Since I missed TTT last week, I did last week’s topic instead. Much easier!

This one was a little tough. Unless specified, I try to stick to books I’ve actually read, but had to branch out to the TBR for this one and still couldn’t make it to ten.
