Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is a genre freebie, so the topic I have chosen is:
My Top Ten Favorite Dystopian Books
Several years ago, I went through a pretty major dystopian phase. It was probably around the time I first read The Hunger Games. After that, I looked for every single dystopian novel I could find. I still really enjoy them. Anyway, here are ten of my favorites.
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Feed by Mira Grant
- Legend by Marie Lu
- The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
- 1984 by George Orwell
- Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer
- Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
- Pawn by Aimee Carter
Please leave your top tens in comments!

Station Eleven was a good read.

Emily St. John Mandel is an excellent writer. I’ve read several of her books and loved them.
I still have to finish Legend, whoops…. The Testing and Shatter Me also come to mind when seeing the topic!

Haven’t read The Testing, but yes, Shatter Me was also a contender. I’ve read the entire Legend series and it was great.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Thanks!
I’ve read pretty much all of these because I also went through a major dystopian phase.
I think a lot of us book blog folks did lol. I blame Hunger Games. Not that dystopian stories weren’t around before, but Hunger Games was/is huge and really drew more people towards the genre.
It looks like you’ve found a variety of dystopian novels to read and enjoy.

I still really like them, I just don’t read them as much as I used to.
I loved Feed! It was a great take on zombies, and the ending of the first book was shocking!

SO SHOCKING! I finished that book on my lunch break and had to go back to work with my mind completely blown. Was not my most productive afternoon lol.
Have you read, Battle Royale: The Novel?
I haven’t read it, but I’ve heard of the movie, I think.
