Ten New-To-Me Authors That I Read in 2025

A benefit to trying to read all of the GoodReads Choice Award winners was not only reading genres that I don’t usually read, but also reading a bunch of new authors that I hadn’t heard of before (or at least, hadn’t read). Here is a list of my favorite ones, and one of the book of theirs that I read:

Lisa Jewell (None of This is True)
T.J. Klune (House on the Cerulean Sea)
Ariel Lawhon (The Frozen River)
Fiona McPhillips (When We Were Silent)

Rebecca Ross (Divine Rivals)
Ellen Marie Wiseman (The Lost Girls of Willowbrook)

The funny thing about this is that the genre I typically read is fantasy and, except for two of these, none of them are fantasy at all. I love that I’ve ventured into different genres so much last year!
