WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
“Recently” is a bit of a relative term, lol. I did finish my current read from my last WWW post . . . on September 17th. Yikes. That was a really long time ago to only finish one book. Oh well. It is what it is. The book I finished was When We Were Silent by Fiona McPhillips. Mystery, thriller, unreliable narrators. So good!
What are you currently reading?
I’m focusing on my GoodReads Awards challenge as much as I can for the rest of this year, which is why I’m reading The Bookshop by Evan Friss. This won for Best History/Biography and has been very interesting so far. I’m also reading House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. This was not a GoodReads Award winner last year – it’s the first book in the Crescent City series – but the third book in the series, House of Flame and Shadow, won for Best Romantasy. These books are quite long – this first one is over 800 pages! So I may not get to the third one before this year is over, especially given how sporadic my reading has been as of late, but I’m gonna try my best.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ll definitely read House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Mass to continue with that series. I will probably also read The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. This won the GoodReads Award for Best Nonfiction and I already got it from my library, so it’s ready to go.
That’s my reading for the week!

I got interested in The Bookshop when I saw this video:

but had forgotten about it. This may be the perfect choice for Nonfiction November!
It’s been a really interesting read so far!
