WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
I managed to finish two books last week, working on catching up to my GoodReads challenge pace. I finished The Wedding People by Alison Espach. This was the GoodReads Award winner last year for Best Fiction and I really, really enjoyed it. I also finished Division of the Marked by March McCarron. This is the first book in the Marked series and part of my “Complete the Series” challenge. I had only ever read this one before, which is the first, but it was back in 2016 and I definitely needed the refresher. It was just as good as I remembered and I’m looking forward to diving into the rest of the story. Speaking of that . . .
What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading Elevation of the Marked by March McCarron, book #2 in the Marked series. Things are definitely ramping up in this second installment. It’s a bit darker than the first one as well. Still classified as YA, although none of the main characters are teenagers anymore, and weren’t from the middle or so of book 1 – firmly in their mid-20s. Not sure why they do this. I guess because YA seems more profitable? Oh well. It’s been really good so far.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I will definitely be finishing the Marked series with Lamentation of the Marked and Resolution of the Marked by March McCarron. This will finish off another series from my “Complete the Series” list and let me know, finally, what is to become of Yarrow and Bray. I know I’m only in book 2, and things are not looking good, but I just want them to survive and be happy.
That’s my reading for the week!

I really like the sound of The Wedding People… I hope you will enjoy your books this week and happy reading!
It was really good. I can definitely see why people voted for it.
I know I should not get interesting in a book by its cover, but Division of the Marked has a very interesting cover. I would be interested in reading it, but I do agree it is weird to be marked YA when they are not teens throughout most of the series. I hope that you end up enjoying the whole series!

The first book has kind of a YA feel to it. The main characters start out at 14 when they meet, but then (not to get into the story too much) they are separated and ten years pass. So for a large chunk of the first book, and all of the second book so far, they are 24. Maybe 25 at this point – no one mentions a birthday, but there is a LOT going on.
I am enjoying it though!
