WWW Wednesday – June 18, 2025

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve been in a reading slump as of late. Actually, I’ve been in kind of a life slump. Overly tired, having difficulty concentrating, getting sucked into doomscrolling on my phone for long periods of time. Not sure what’s going on with my brain, but I’m working through it. That said, my last WWW was on June 4th and while I did finish my current read from that post, The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, I haven’t finished anything else. I actually finished that book the next day and then just . . . stopped reading. Ugh. The God of the Woods was really good, though.

What are you currently reading?

Two days ago, I picked up The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. This was the GoodReads Award winner for Best Science Fiction and, although I understand why it’s placed in that genre (since it deals with time travel and such), it’s very different from any other sci-fi I’ve ever read. I think I like it so far. It’s very quirky. I like quirky.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Depending on the timing, I will read one of two things. I will either start the next book off the GoodReads Awards list, which will be The Wedding People by Alison Espach. I have heard good things about this one so it should be fun. I also need to read the next book for book club, which for this month is Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I’m looking forward to this one because A). I loved the Lunar Chronicles and have wanted to read more of Meyer’s work, and B). I love anything Alice in Wonderland adjacent, which this is.

That’s my reading for the week!

Please leave your WWW in comments!
