It is so hard to believe that we are two months into 2025. Where is the time going? February was a difficult month, in more ways than one, but let’s see how things went book-wise, shall we?
February Reads

I’m having a lot of fun so far with the Bookmory app. I splurged and got a subscription, since it’s only $2.99 per month (not sponsored, just a fan). The free version is good too, but the paid version gives you a bunch of stats that you can look at by month and by day.
Since it is a bit small, here are the books I read:
- Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
- Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
- Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross
- Caraval by Stephanie Garber
- A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
You can see on the calendar up there when I started and stopped reads. You can also, unfortunately, so a lot of blank days where I didn’t read at all. My head has been kind of weird lately, so reading has sometimes been a struggle. It’s been getting better though. One thing that has helped is that I’ve found a bunch of YouTube channels that provide soothing music and ambient sounds to read or study to. This really keeps me in the right mindset and keeps me focused, so I’m definitely going to keep doing it. Here’s the one I’m listening to as I type up this post
Challenge Updates
GoodReads Challenge: My goal is to read 75 books this year. Currently sitting at 14 books, which according to GoodReads, is 19% done and two books ahead of schedule. Not bad! I’ll take it!
GoodReads Awards Challenge: My goal was to read all 14 of the winners of 2024’s GoodReads Choice Awards. This month I read one book off that list with Ruthless Vows. Here’s the complete list if you’re curious. I also have them listed on my Challenges page.
Complete the Series Challenge: My goal was to complete 7 series that I have not finished (you can see my list here). I did not complete any additional series in February, but I did start another one at the end of the month with A Curse So Dark and Lonely. A tiny bit of progress, but I’m still sitting at two series for this one right now. Which still isn’t bad, since we’re only two months in!
Blog Updates
I definitely feel off of blogging a bit this month. Again, blame my weird headspace. I Still managed 14 posts, which is better than I’ve done in the past. My goal is to post Monday through Friday, with occasional posts on the weekends (debating bringing Sunday Post back, but I’m not sure yet – let me know if you think I should).
Here’s my breakdown for February:
- Month in Review: 1
- Audio Round Up: 1
- Teaser/Top Ten Tuesday Combos: 4
- WWW Wednesdays: 4
- Book Blogger Hops: 2
- Reviews: 2
I’m more or less keeping up with reviews, which is the main thing I worry about. I’ve done a few re-reads, so that’s helped, since they should already be reviewed (although I found out through a comment that I never actually reviewed Caraval the first time around, so that will be coming up soon).
Overall, February was a bit of a struggle, reading-wise, blogging-wise, mental health-wise, and otherwise. Here’s to hoping that March is better.
