Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you want to play along:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week’s teaser comes from Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross.
I don’t think you realize how strong you are, because sometimes strength isn’t swords and steel and fire, as we are so often made to believe. Sometimes it’s found in quiet, gentle places. The way you hold someone’s hand as they grieve. The way you listen to others. The way you show up, day after day, even when you are weary or afraid or simply uncertain.
That is strength, and I see it in you.
How have I not read this series before? It’s so good!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is a love freebie, in honor of Valentine’s Day. I’m not a big Valentine’s girl, so I just went with something simple.
Ten Books With Hearts On the Cover
I don’t read a ton of straight up romance, but there are several books that I’ve liked that have hearts on the cover. Lovey-dovey books? Not all of them, certainly. But hearts play a prominent part, sometimes in more ways than one.
Edit: I just saw that Jana picked this same topic lol. I swear I didn’t know that before I wrote this up! She probably had a much easier time of it, since she reads a lot more romantic stuff than I do.
- Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
- The Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson
- Ensnared by A.G. Howard
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
- Finale by Stephanie Garber
- Finding Mr. Better-Than-You by Shani Petroff
- What We Do For Love by Anne Pfeffer
- My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga
- The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

Shiver looks interesting.
That’s such a great quote from your teaser! I’d like to read Divine Rivals at some point.
I remember liking Shiver when i read it years ago but i never continued the series. Also, Tje Paper Magician looks intriguing.
