Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you want to play along:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week’s teaser comes from Your Blood, My Bones by Kelly Andrew.
Wyatt lay flat as a paper doll on the guest room bed. Sweating out a fever. Staring at the ceiling. Choking on regret. The last time she’d let go of her control so completely, it had been winter. January bleak, the snow melting into soot-dark slush along Salem’s cobbled walkways. An EMT had wrapped her in a Mylar blanket for the shock. She’d sat in the back of the ambulance with chattering teeth and bloodied palms, watching them load the body onto the stretcher.
This book has been so good so far!
