This week’s teaser comes from The Grimm Conclusion by Adam Gidwitz.
I know. That sounds like a stupid reason not to invite the thirteenth Wise Woman. But that’s how the story goes.
Also, sometime these women are called Fairies, and sometimes they are called Witches. No one really seems to know what they were.
You call them whatever you want. Call them Zombies in Tutus, if you want. I’m calling them Wise Women.
The sarcastic narrator is one of the best parts of these books. It’s too funny.

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t really pay a lot of attention to new releases, at least not very often. Most of the books I end up reading tend to be older ones that I haven’t gotten to yet. Luckily, GoodReads has a good article on the latest releases creating buzz this summer. Here are the ones I found interesting, including two that just came out.

Life With No Plot 
I’m looking forward to reading Sager’s Middle of the Night. His books are always a lot of fun. Great TTT list! 😀
I need to read more of Sager’s stuff. I’ve only read one and it’s one of my favorites.
Lady Macbeth looks interesting.
I love a good retelling, especially if they flip things around and show the story from a different point of view. This also speaks to my little English major heart – Shakespeare was my JAM in college!

THE BRIAR CLUB is on my list today too. I’m also excited about the new Sager. I’m on the waitlist for it at the library, so hopefully I won’t have to wait TOO long to read it. I hope you enjoy all these!
