WWW Wednesday – November 1, 2023

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

Honestly, nothing. Sad but true. Since my last WWW post, I sort of stopped reading entirely and hadn’t picked up again until this past Monday.

What are you currently reading?

I decided to do a re-read to help jumpstart me back into reading again, and I chose You’re Never Weird On the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day. I am a big fan of Felicia’s and loved this book the first time I read it (you can see my review here). It’s been fun to read it again.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Good question. Since I’ve all but given up on my GoodReads challenge, I would like to make good on my other ones. I finished by “Complete the Series” challenge, but still need to read a few more off of “Beat the Backlist” and the “A-to-Z Challenge” (which was part of why I chose You’re Never Weird on the Internet – filled the Y slot). I would love to try and find books to meet both of those challenges, but the problem is that most of the books on my TBR and the beginnings of series and I don’t know if I really want to dive into another series just yet. And since most of what I read is genre fiction, and most genre fiction tends to be in series format . . . it’s a conundrum.

So instead, I turned to GoodReads, picked a book that I had already read this year and enjoyed, and went through the “Since you liked this book . . .” recommendations and looked for something completely new. First up will be The Measure by Nikki Erlick. It sounds super weird and was nominated in the GoodReads awards last year, so why not?

That’s my reading for the week. Please leave your WWW in comments!

  1. I think there is a new Leigh Bardugo book – maybe that would help get you back into the reading groove?
