WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished both of the books that I was reading last week and an additional book as well! I finished Hello, Cruel Heart by Maureen Johnson and was absolutely enchanted by it. This makes me want to see the Cruella movie now! I always enjoy Maureen’s writing and this time was no exception. Hoping to have the review up tomorrow so I can clear it from my NetGalley shelf. I also finished Beyond the Story: 10 Year Record of BTS by Myeongseok Kang et al and it was amazing. I love these boys so much and reading about their journey to get where they are today was so inspiring. They worked so hard and gave so much of themselves to their fans, both in their music and performance, but also in the amount of time that they spent doing other things through livestreams and other content. I WILL SEE THEM IN CONCERT SOMEDAY I SWEAR!!
My surprise read for this week was The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson. I had this planned to read sometime towards the end of the month, but then realized that I would be reading it while I was on vacation next week. It’s a 500+ page hardcover and I really didn’t want to find room to pack it, so up the queue it goes! I really loved this one as well. Magnus was one of my favorite characters from the Shadowhunter books so it was nice to spend more time with him.

What are you currently reading?
Today I am starting Arrows of the Queen by Mercedes Lackey. This will be a re-read for me and I am definitely looking forward to sinking into some classic fantasy. I am reading this one for my “Complete the Series” challenge as I have read this book, but not the other two in this particular trilogy. When I say that I’m completing this series for the challenge, that means just the Heralds of Valdemar trilogy, not the entire Valdemar saga of books, which comprises several smaller series inside it and would take a very long time. I do want to read them someday, just not right now.

What do you think you’ll read next?
As you probably figured out, I will be reading the next two books of the Heralds trilogy, Arrow’s Flight and Arrow’s Fall by Mercedes Lackey. I will probably end up bringing both of these books with me on vacation, but they should fit easily as they are both mass market paperbacks. Much smaller than The Bane Chronicles would have been! I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens to Talia after Arrows of the Queen.

That’s my reading for the week! Please leave your WWW in comments!
