This week’s teaser comes from Queen of Shadows by Dianne Sylvan, book #1 in the Shadow World series.

The new door guard, a dreadlocked man named Terrence, still seemed a bit bewildered at his sudden promotion, not to mention nonplussed as to how to handle his charge. He never knew whether to smile at her or bow or what. She found it oddly endearing.

I am re-reading the first books in this series in order to cross it off my “Complete the Series” challenge and also to get ready for the final book which is coming out later this year. I love this series so much and can’t wait to see what happens in the books I missed!
