WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
Last week, I finished both of my current reads, one of them a lot earlier than I expected to. I knew that I would finish up Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, just because it’s a story I’m already familiar with and the book isn’t very long. I did not expect to finish Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. That book clocks in at a whopping 699 pages, and let me tell you, those last ten pages punch you in the gut! Cassie has broken me once again with this book, you guys. I’m also sort of doing a buddy read with this series (it wasn’t planned that way, but we ended up reading it at the same time) so we’ve been enjoying freaking out over text messages.
What are you currently reading?
Finally started reading Pachinko by Lee Min-Jin and I am absolutely loving it so far. This is a book I definitely wouldn’t have picked up without the SRC prompt so I am so happy to be participating more this round. I am also reading Autumn Whispers by Yasmine Galenorn, book #14 in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series. I was looking at it a few days ago, and I do think it is possible that I will finish this series this year as long as I stay on top of it. That’s exciting! That’s a big one off my “Complete the Series” list!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I was planning on waiting until October to star Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare, but after what happened at the end of Lord of Shadows, I don’t think I can wait, not even those few days. I need to check in on characters and make sure they’re okay. I will also be reading Crimson Veil by Yasmine Galenorn, the next Otherworld book. I will also be picking up another group read on SRC. This is another one that I’m really excited about and that I don’t know if I would have gravitated towards otherwise – Becoming by Michelle Obama. I have so much respect for Mrs. Obama, so I can’t wait to read her story.
That’s my reading life this week! Please leave your WWW in comments!

I have been wanting to read Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices but I am worried that I will get sucked in too! They look amazing. Trying to resist…..
Don’t resist . . . just jump in . . . you know you want to . . .
Seriously, this is some of Cassie’s best work.
Sounds like a great week. 699 pages is going some! I didn’t realise it was that long 🤣 I hope it all works out well for the characters!
Have a great week!

Believe it or not, the third book (Queen of Air and Darkness) is even longer. Well over 800 pages. That one might take a while, although to be fair, it reads pretty quickly. It’s easy to get sucked in!
No way. I’ve not read anything that large before! That’s good though.
I loved Becoming! Enjoy your week.
I am so looking forward to it!
