WWW Wednesday – August 31, 2022

WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!

What did you recently finish reading?

I am so excited because I finished two books this week, including one that completes a series on my list! I finished Shaded Vision by Yasmine Galenorn a few days ago and I’m actually starting to get a bit hopefully that I might finish that whole series this year. If not this year, then definitely next year. I will at least make a very sizable dent in it. The other book I finished was The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima! This is the fourth and final book in the Seven Realms series and it was sooooo goooood! The fact that I get to cross this off of my “Complete the Series” list is just an added bonus.

What are you currently reading?

The only book I am currently reading is Splintered by A.G. Howard. I am hoping to finish it today so that I can start September off with fresh new reads. While I love this entire series, I will probably only read this one for now. I picked it up as a comfort read and a sort of filler book while I was reading some other things, but once September starts, I will probably be busy.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Since the Seven Realms series is complete, I will be diving into the Dark Artifices series with Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. I have read this book, but not the other two in the trilogy. I love the other Shadowhunter books I’ve read so this should be a good time. I will also be continuing with the Otherworld series with Shadow Rising by Yasmine Galenorn. I will also be reading something new and unexpected, which I am also very excited about. I’ve mentioned before that I participate in the Seasonal Reading Challenge group over at GoodReads. Their Fall challenge starts September 1st. Each season has several books they do as group reads and, while I think I can only get points for one of them, I still plan on reading all four just because it will break me out of my norm and give me an excuse to try something new. A long explanation for why I will be reading The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd.
