WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
I am off to a good start this year, finishing everything that I was reading last week! Yay! That means that I finished Changeling by Yasmine Galenorn (book #2 in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series), The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson (book #1 in the Girl of Fire and Thorns series), and Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (book #3 in the Infernal Devices trilogy). That’s a pretty good week for me! I’ve been trying to keep myself motivated as much as possible, even going back to those old reading schedules I used to do a few years ago. They were silly, but they did keep me on track. I’m not being quite as strict as I was back then – I had ARCs and blog tours at the time, so I had to be ready to post something – but it has definitely helped. Let’s see how long I can keep it up.
What are you currently reading?
I am currently continuing two of the series I was working on, so that means that I am reading Darkling by Yasmine Galenorn (book #3i n the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series) and The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson (book #2 in the Girl of Fire and Thorns series). If you saw my teaser yesterday, then you also know that I started reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. This was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law and I am really enjoying it so far. She and I have similar tastes in books.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’ll keep on in these two series, so definitely Dragon Wytch by Yasmine Galenorn and The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson. These are the first two series on my list that I’m trying to tackle, although the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series is really long, so that one is going to take a while. Luckily they are all pretty quick reads and I’ve already read a few of them several years ago. I think I might also do a reread of Axiom’s End by Lindsay Ellis since I recently got a copy of her second book, Truth of the Divine, and need a refresher on book #1 before I dive in. I’ve found that since I read a lot, and typically a lot of series, that sometimes it’s really hard for details to stick in my head. My brain is just constantly going on to the next thing. It has to be something I’ve read dozens of times for me to truly remember it. Does anyone else have that issue?
Anyway, that’s it for me this week. Please leave your WWW in comments!
