WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
I actually finished two books this week, which makes me very happy! I finished Dark Disciple by Christie Golden, a Star Wars novel set during the Clone Wars. I’ve been reading along with the Nerdist Book Club and it was a lot of fun. I also finished reading The Treatment by Suzanne Young, book #2 in The Program series yesterday. Really good book, although the ending was kind of abrupt in a weird way. Hard to describe, but still enjoyable.
What are you currently reading?
I started The Remedy by Suzanne Young, which is technically book #3 in The Program series . . . but it doesn’t really continue the story from the first two books. The series looks like it is three sets of duologies set in the same universe but telling stories about different people. This book takes place before The Program does. Since this isn’t (technically) a huge six book series, I decided to go ahead and start reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I tried reading this one a few years ago but for some reason never got through it. I remember liking what I read, but no specifics of the story or why I stopped. Probably a reading slump. Hate those. I also started reading The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien, keeping up with my Middle Earth re-read.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I still need to start The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which is the next book that I’m reading with the Nerdist Book Club (although I’m a few books behind their current videos, not sure what they are currently reading). Other than that, the next books I will read will be continuing with the three series I’m currently reading. I just started all of those though, so it will be a while.
That’s it for this week! Please leave your WWW in comments!
