WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let’s go!
What did you recently finish reading?
Quite a few things since my last WWW post! I finished my current read from that post, which was Frozen by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnston, book #1 of the Heart of Dread series. It was my last book counted towards my 2020 reading goal. Since then, I have re-read The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston, which I loved. I also just found out that I have never actually reviewed it here on the blog, so I will be reviewing it soon once I get caught up. I also just finished book #2 of the Heart of Dread series, Stolen by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnston.
What are you currently reading?
I have quite a few things so far. I am reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is a re-read for me, of course, but I’m enjoying reading along with Mark Reads. I’m also reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, which is a new read for me that I’m reading along with Nerdist Book Club. I also just started the sequel to The Rules for Disappearing, which is The Rules for Breaking by Ashley Elston. This is the second book of this duology which would cross a series off of my “Complete the Series” list – yay!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I need to pick up a copy of Golden by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnston. This is the third and final book in the Heart of Dread series and I need to know where this ends up! I also will hopefully pick up Each of Us a Desert by Mark Oshiro (of Mark Reads fame) after I finish a couple of other things. I also will need to pull another book off my list of series to complete, hopefully another duology so I can finish it up quickly. Maybe The Bone Charmer by Breeana Fields?
Please leave your WWW in comments!

Hey! Great post! I’ve heard great things about Mexican Gothic and it’s on my TBR. I had full plans to take part in WWW today but December and the first of Jan was such a slow reading month, I decided to forgo it. I only managed to read one book [Addie LaRue] and that’s entirely my fault because it was so good, I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. Reviewed it today too because I couldn’t think of much else except those wonderful characters. Leaving a LINK here in case you want to check it out later. Have a great reading week!
I love books that force you to get lost in them! Hope you get some more reads like that this year. 😊
I’ve heard so many good things about Mexican Gothic and recently bought it when it was a Bookbub special I think? Now just to find time to fit it in. https://teripolen.com/2021/01/06/www-wednesdays-what-am-i-reading-amreading-14/
Fitting them in is always the issue, isn’t it. I had never heard of it before and have only just started it, but I like it so far.
Just finished- Prince Caspian
Currently reading- will be Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Next read- The Silver Chair
Actually, started the Narnia series the 1st of January- I am managing to read them quickly.
They are usually pretty quick reads. I should re-read them at some point. It’s been a while.
Enjoy your books, and thanks for sharing. I have heard good things about Mexican Gothic. Here’s MY WWW POST
I’ve only just started it, but I’m liking it so far!
Mexican Gothic keeps coming up on book lists that I see. How are you liking it so far? Let me know if you recommend it. Maybe it will become a suggestion for my book club as well. My WWW: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2021/01/06/www-wednesdays-january-6-2021/

Yay! You should definitely read it. I am enjoying the series so far. And I can’t wait to dig in further on Mexican Gothic.
Oh my gosh! I remember reading Frozen by Cruz and liking it but never picked up another book in the series! Did you enjoy it enough that I should think about re-starting that series?!
My WWW!
I enjoyed it. I will be posting my review of the third book today, although it will probably have a few spoilers. It was definitely not my favorite dystopian YA, but it was a solid story and a fun read.
Okay, I think that’s what I got from the first book! Definitely not the best but it was a good story!
