Teasers & Top Tens – 8/11/20

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you want to play along:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This week’s teaser comes from Unearthly by Cynthia Hand.

Sunday morning we drive to Teton Village, a big, famous ski resort area a few miles outside Jackson. Jeffrey dozes in the backseat. Mom looks tired, probably from too many late nights working and too many serious discussions with her daughter in the wee hours of the morning.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic:

Top Ten Books I Loved but Never Reviewed

THERE ARE SO MANY OF THESE!! I actually went through a few months ago and made a list of books that I need to review at some point. Most of the time they are books that I read when I wasn’t currently blogging.

These are in no particular order, although I have left out books that I have reviews coming up soon.

  1. The Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo
  2. The Modern Faerie Tales series by Holly Black
  3. Going Bovine by Libba Bray
  4. The Selection series by Kiera Cass
  5. The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston
  6. Eve & Adam by Michael Grant
  7. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
  8. The Treachery of Beautiful Things by Ruth Frances Long
  9. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Madel
  10. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Please leave your teasers and top tens in comments!

  1. I really must read Station Eleven some day! 😀

  2. I really need to read Station Eleven sometime.

    My TTT .

  3. I loved Station Eleven and it is actually a book that I should have reviewed. So many mixed feelings on it from our book club. Eleanor and Park was one of my first audio books and I’ve loved it! But also, no review.

    Here’s my TTT

  4. Sometimes it is just to difficult to keep up with reviews – especially in the last few months as we have had more time to read!
Here is mine for this week: https://collinesblog.com/2020/08/11/teaser-tuesday-word-by-word/

  5. I did review the Grisha series, but then I only read them in 2018/2019!

  7. I didn’t review Eleanor & Park either. I think I read it before I blogged or reviewed. It was good, though!

    My TTT.

  8. I’ve only read one of these, so you’re ahead of me! Ha ha.

    Happy TTT!

  9. The Rules for Disappearing is one I’ve been meaning to read for a while. It looks really solid.
