A quick note . . .

Hey everyone! I am back from my trip to Florida. It was . . . we’ll say that it was challenging, at best. This wasn’t necessarily a trip to have fun, although we did. My mom, my kiddo, and I went to visit some family, particularly some family who are dealing with some major health issues. It was very bittersweet since I don’t know when we will get to go back. But we also got to spend a lot of time swimming and laughing and joking around. It was not a vacation to rest though – I am physically, mentally, and emotionally spent. And that was before the 12 hour drive yesterday. Trying to get a bit of rest today before heading back to work tomorrow.

Also, my kitties missed me. A lot. They will not leave me alone.

So the blog will be going back to its regularly scheduled programming, starting tomorrow. I will hopefully start posting six days per week again. The schedule will be as follows:

  • Mondays: Chapter-A-Long (currently reading Legend by Marie Lu)
  • Tuesdays: Teaser Tuesday and (sometimes) Top Ten Tuesday
  • Wednesdays: WWW Wednesday
  • Thursdays: Review of the Week
  • Fridays: Weekly Wrap-Up and Stats
  • Saturdays: the return of Nostalgic Reads

Yes, I am trying to bring Nostalgic Reads back! I’ve missed doing it, but just haven’t had the time or energy to commit to it. I didn’t want to mention it to much, but my depression and anxiety have been ramping up again lately, which always makes doing things harder, even things I enjoy. I’m trying to counteract that by throwing myself back into my hobbies, including a new project that I hope to unveil in the next month or so. It’s a bit outside my comfort zone but it’s also something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. My kiddo and I were talking about it on our trip and she really encouraged me to give it a go (and also convinced me that my idea was not as stupid as I originally thought it might be).

And hey – if it fails, it fails. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Lastly, I wanted to give a shout out and a big thank you to The Write Reads on Twitter. They featured my review of A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir last week. If you have found my blog from this, welcome to my little corner of the Internet! Hope you enjoy! I am sometimes a bit inconsistent in posting, but we still have a good time.
