Weekly Wrap-Up

Hey guys! I made it through a week of blogging! Huzzah!

It’s been a while since I was able to do that. To be honest, most of my posts are going to be written over the weekends, since my weeks are way too crazy right now. I should probably take a second and explain a bit about what’s been going on.

I mentioned in my last wrap-up that I had a new job. I am coming up on my two month anniversary of starting that job and it is, quite frankly, the best job I’ve ever had. I enjoy the work, I enjoy the people I work with, and (as I said before) there are cupcakes. Probably not good for my diet, but definitely good for a pick-me-up during the day! The best thing is that in another month, I will have health insurance again, so I’ll be able to go back to my doctor and get back on some of the medications that were helping me before. The fibromyalgia has been surprisingly kind to me as of late, but I have been having major issues with depression that make it very difficult for me to do things around the house. I push myself to get through a work day and then completely crash.

My kiddo is still having issues, which have gotten worse, so despite my working close to full time hours, I have pulled her out of school. She is doing her classwork online through my home school license. It was either this or wait for her to be old enough to legally drop out and not graduate. We’re hoping she will be able to stay on task better this way. Her own depression and anxiety have been really tough lately, but I think she might be on an upswing. We’ll see.

Other than that, I’m doing okay. Just trying to get back into reading again. I set such high, optimistic goals at the beginning of the year, and those might have to be scaled back a bit. It’s already the middle of March and I’ve only read five books, with two more in progress, but still. Not my usual speed. I’m going to give myself a few more weeks before I make any changes, just to see where I’m at.

Be good to each other, everyone! Stay safe and stay healthy!
