Weekly Wrap-Up – 3/1/19

It’s a brand new month! Welcome to March, everyone!

Seriously, where does the time go? 2019 feels like it just started and we’re already two months into it. Wow.

February was a bit of a tumultuous time for me. I am having some personal issues going on right now that I am working through. I’m blogging a bit about that over on My Crooked Little Path, if anyone is curious – not because I don’t want people to know about them, but this blog is definitely meant to be more upbeat and fun. MCLP is much more a way for me to vent when I am dealing with my various mental health issues.

But enough of that. What else has been going on this week? I’ve signed up for a couple of blog tours. It’s something that I really want to get into, as it just looks like fun, but I don’t know if I have a big enough following for what they are looking for. We’ll see. Certainly doesn’t hurt to try! I’ve also been really trying to be better about interacting with the blogs that I follow as well. You guys are all awesome and I know, as bloggers, we live for getting comments. Especially toward the end of this week, I’ve been trying to comment more, to be a better blog friend in that way. Haven’t hit everyone, but I’m working on it.

Let’s take a look at my reading progress this past week:

  • I finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets yesterday, as most of you saw with my Chapter-A-Long post. I will be starting and posting Chapter 1 of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban hopefully later today.
  • Made really good progress with Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas, reading chapters 28-58 as of yesterday. I should finish that one, if not today, then by early next week. Moving right along with this series, which will go towards my Complete the Series challenge, so yay!
  • Made less progress with Kushiel’s Chosen by Jacqueline Carey, but that is mostly by design. I’m about halfway through it though, through chapter 37, so that’s pretty good. No idea when I will finish it, but I’m not in a rush either.
  • I am starting my next NetGalley ARC, Never-Contented Things by Sarah Porter, today! My current plan is to get the review for that one up on March 14th, so be on the lookout for that. It’s about Faeries, so that makes me happy. I like Faeries.

So lots of things coming up on the horizon for the blog. I still have another project that I want to start, but it probably won’t happen until maybe this summer, when I might have some more time. We’ll see.

Until then, here are some pictures of my fur babies. They make me smile. 🙂

Kitties

Amber and Sophie

And yes, Sophie is laying on a pillow of cat faces. I am a crazy-cat-lady-in-training and proud of it!
