First Teaser Tuesday of the year!!
Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by A Daily Rhythm. Here are the rules if you want to play along:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
A weight released from Scarlet’s chest as the scanner passed over her wrist and she stepped onto the train. Finally, finally, she was on her way. No more standing still. No more doing nothing.
~ Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
I am loving this series, y’all! It’s so good!
Please leave your teasers in comments!

I really need to read this series!
This series has been such a complete surprise. It doesn’t sound like it ought to work, but it’s amazing. Just finished this book today on my lunch break. Can’t wait to start book 3!
I haven’t started this series yet. Looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing your teaser. My Teaser
It’s been a lot of fun. Can’t wait to see where Marissa Meyer is going with this. 🙂
I am definitely curious about the series and this book. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “FLYING SHOES”
This series has been a surprise to me. I don’t know if I expected to enjoy it this much, but it’s been a lot of fun. Who knew futuristic fairy tale retellings would work so well!
Sounds intriguing. Here’s mine from a Josephine Tey book: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-16A
They are basically sci-fi stories loosely based on fairy tales. The first one, Cinder, is Cinderella (only she’s a cyborg – it works though, trust me). Scarlet brings Little Red Ridinghood into the mix. The next book, Cress, is this world’s version of Rapunzel. I’ll be starting that one tonight. 🙂
Reading your teaser made me want to reread this series! I loved reading it last year and I’m still sad it’s over…
Happy reading! Here’s my teaser of Serafina And The Black Cloak by Robert Beatty.
It’s so good! It’s now my go-to recommendation for people when they ask.
Yes me too! Either The Lunar Chronicles for fantasy, Jasper Dent for mystery/thriller or Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda for contemporary. 😀
I’ve heard good things about this series.
My Tuesday post features JEWEL.
It’s really good. I’m tearing through it trying to find out what’s happening. 🙂
I’ve read Cinder, need to move on and read Scarlet. Thanks for this teaser!
