Teaser Tuesday for 1/5/16

Teaser Tuesday NewFirst Teaser Tuesday of the year!!

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by A Daily Rhythm. Here are the rules if you want to play along:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

A weight released from Scarlet’s chest as the scanner passed over her wrist and she stepped onto the train. Finally, finally, she was on her way. No more standing still. No more doing nothing.

~ Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

I am loving this series, y’all! It’s so good!

Please leave your teasers in comments!

    • They are basically sci-fi stories loosely based on fairy tales. The first one, Cinder, is Cinderella (only she’s a cyborg – it works though, trust me). Scarlet brings Little Red Ridinghood into the mix. The next book, Cress, is this world’s version of Rapunzel. I’ll be starting that one tonight. 🙂

  5. Reading your teaser made me want to reread this series! I loved reading it last year and I’m still sad it’s over…

Happy reading! Here’s my teaser of Serafina And The Black Cloak by Robert Beatty.

  6. I’ve heard good things about this series.
