MONTH IN REVIEW: February 2026

It’s almost the middle of March and I realized I hadn’t recapped February yet. Best get on that!

February Reads

  • The Iron Warrior by Julie Kagawa
  • Beyond the Curtain by Marie Lunga
  • My Friends by Fredrik Backman
  • Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Only four this month, but I’ve been trying to take more time with my reading this year as a whole and not rush through things. Four books in one month is just fine, given how weird and chaotic my brain gets lately.

Challenge Updates

GoodReads Challenge: My goal for this year is to read 52 books, or at least one book per week. As of the end of February, I had 8 books, which is still on track!

GoodReads Choice Awards Challenge: My goal was to read all of the winners of the GoodReads Choice Awards from last year. In February, I read two of them: My Friends, which won Best Fiction, and Atmosphere, which won Best Historical Fiction. That’s 2 out of 13 so far.

I am rethinking how I’m going to handle Beat the Backlist this year, as so many of my TBR are the beginnings of series and, as such, makes it hard to get through a ton of them without abandoning series and bringing back my Complete the Series challenge with avengance. Stay tuned for all of that.

Blog Updates

I didn’t blog as much as I did in January, but I still stayed fairly consistent. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Month in Review: 1
  • Sunday Posts: 2
  • Top Ten Tuesday: 4
  • WWW Wednesday: 4
  • Book Blogger Hop: 3
  • Reviews: 2

16 posts in total, which is still pretty good. Only two reviews, but both of them were for NetGalley ARCs, so they were pretty important to get out there. I’m trying to at least do Top Ten Tuesdays and WWW Wednesdays every week. Other posts may be more sporadic, but those two are classics and I really like keeping them around as much as possible.

Shop Updates

I don’t have many updated for Tabby Cat Textiles since things over there are a bit on hold. It’s mostly because of the weather changing – most of my items are for the colder months and as things get warmer, you don’t need scarves and gloves as much. I’m looking to transition into some other items for spring and summer, like bags or jewelry, while still working on some extra inventory for when fall and winter come back around.

Overall, February was a slower month, but still fairly stable. Can’t complain!
