What did you recently finish reading?
I am so glad to say that I finally finished House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas. The books in this series are so long! It was over 800 pages! This is insanity, Ms. Maas! It took a while to get into it, but I did really enjoy it by the end.
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading the second Crescent City book, House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas. This one is also 800+ pages. I am feeling more invested in the story since I got through the first one, so this one is going by a bit quicker. I also started The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. I will be honest – I may not finish this one. It’s very interesting, but it’s also very dry and not holding my attention very well. With as scattered as my brain is currently, it’s not really working for me. I’ll give it maybe another few days.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I will definitely be reading House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas, the third Crescent City book. This was the one that won the GoodReads Award last year, which is why it was on my list to read, and why I started reading the first books in the series. You guessed it, this one is ALSO 800+ pages. And people wonder why this is taking so long! (It’s me. I’m people.)

I have the first two Crescent City books on my shelves. They are intimidating 😂 I am hoping to get them read at some point…

I’ve finally gotten into a grove with them. I’m a little over halfway done with the second book. But yes, they are quite daunting.
Excellent. Once you get into a book it seems to go faster for some reason 😂 just looking at them, but at the same time I want to read them 😂
